• Supporting Education – Education dispels myths and empowers people to make informed choices about the products they use. Solo partners with environmental and educational organizations to educate people across the United States about foodservice packaging materials, disposal options like recycling and composting, and the tradeoffs associated with each material.
     
  • Reducing Carbon – We work to ensure our manufacturing and distribution processes are as efficient as possible. Since 2008, Solo has implemented hundreds of energy-saving initiatives and significantly reduced our carbon output. In 2010, Solo completed its first carbon footprint of its operations. The results will be reported in 2011.
     
  • Providing Options –We partner with our customers to identify the single-use products that work best for them given their options for recovery, such as recycling and composting.
     
  • Investing in the Future – Solo leads the industry in research and development into the latest possibilities for more environmentally preferable materials.
     
  • Engaging Employees – The Solo Sustainability Action Network, a group of approximately 300 employee volunteers, helps implement environmental sustainability programs in the facilities and communities in which we work and live.
